Paul Henry Swafford, 82, of Newark passed away October 12, 2022.
He was born November 30, 1939 in Cushman, Arkansas to John Henry Swafford and Nellie Lavine Huff Swafford.
Paul enjoyed going to church and was very strong on his Pentecostal faith. He had a passion for old cars and music was a big part of his life. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Swafford (Bridget) of Newark and Jamie Swafford (Joaney) of Newark; one brother, Charles “Butch” Swafford of Michigan; one sister, Dorothy Holfield of South Carolina and seven grandchildren, Kyla, Eli, Avery, Olivia, Dylan, Kaleb and Brayden Swafford.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Fannie Lucille Wood Swafford; one sister, Maudie Everett and one grandchild, Bethany.
Pallbearers are Terry Wood, Johnny Wood, Brandon Wood, David Wood, Chase Fraser, and Jeremy Kellum.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home at 2 p.m. with Jack McCarroll officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
A visitation will be held Monday, October 17, 2022 from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
