The man accused in the killing of Rebekah Christian Gould is expected to plead guilty to her murder tomorrow morning in Izard County Circuit Court.

According to a release from Izard County Chief Deputy Sheriff Charley Melton, 16th Judicial Prosecutor Eric Hance has announced a plea agreement will be entered at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the murder of Gould.

William Alma Miller was charged Nov. 8, 2020, in the 2004 death of Gould and was scheduled for a jury trial on Oct. 31.

Hance said defense attorneys offered to withdraw a trial by jury, and the victim’s family was in agreement.

Miller’s confession was part of a three-day hearing in September that would have been allowed into evidence during the trial.

The plea will be held before Circuit Judge Tim Weaver, said Melton.
