Kade Epperson, a 2023 graduate from Batesville High School, has committed to Oklahoma’s Seminole State College, home to one of the top Division 1 junior college programs in the country, to further his baseball career.
Kade has played 1B/OF for Batesville High School Pioneers for the duration of his high school career. His summer affiliation has been with the Arkansas Rawlings Prospects where he just spent his last season playing for their Elite team.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity from Coach Chambers and his staff at Seminole State College to further my baseball and academic career,” said Kade. “Seminole State is in a very strong conference for Division 1 junior colleges, and I look forward to the constant challenges to compete that this will bring. Their facilities are at the top level in the country offering a tremendous amount of growth and development for my overall game.”
The Trojan baseball program has produced over 200 players who have signed professional baseball contracts, with 43 of those playing in the major leagues.
Over 300 Trojans have been selected in the MLB Draft. The Trojans have consistently been ranked among the top 15 teams in the nation.
They have made 13 trips to the NJCAA national tournament – JUCO World Series – in Grand Junction, Colo.
Kade has spent his last two seasons working with Playmaker Sports Academy instructor Tanner Ring on his approach and mechanics at the plate, making huge strides in understanding the workload and effort it takes to get to the next level. And it’s looking like his hard work has paid off with Kade attending Seminole State College.
