Mario Dion Alcorn, 28, of Newport passed from this life on Monday, October 24, 2022. He was born on July 4, 1994, to Alvin Eugene Alcorn and Patricia Ann (Hardaway) Alcorn.
Mario was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. One of his favorite things to do was ride horses. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Hardaway; his paternal grandmother, Willie “Lena” Alcorn; his paternal grandfather, James Alcorn and sisters, Katrina and Alvina Alcorn.
He is survived by his parents; his daughter, Kenzie Alcorn of Bono; his brothers, Alvin Friar of Newport and Stephen Alcorn of Newport; his god-sister, Ashley Smith of Newport; his maternal grandfather, Robert Hardaway Sr. of Newport; nieces, Aalijah Friar of Newport and Ryelle` Smith of Newport; nephew, Rylan Pruitt of Newport; special friends, Stephen Alcorn, Alvin Friar, Elijah Alcorn, Kemplem McCoy, Mikal Green, Torrey Gates, Logan Morris, Alex Gates, Will Tiner, DeShawn Smith, Alex Nicholson, Bruce Greer, Davlin Lee and Robert Rucker Jr. and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other friends.
Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Dillinger Funeral Home with Elder Wayne Alcorn officiating.
