
Jeannette Mitchell Yeager passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, after her long battle with heart disease.
Jeannette was born on February 11, 1953, in Benton, AR to Lillian Clara and John Carlton Mitchell. She grew up in Benton and attended Benton High School; she then went on to graduate from Nursing School and enjoyed a 40-year-plus career in nursing at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock, AR.
Jeannette was a member of the White Drive Baptist Church and loved cooking for their frequent potluck. She came from a large loving family of numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Jay Yeager; his children Jackie Colclasure of Cabot, AR, Candace Clouse, Gretchen Yeager and Wesley Yeager all of Paragould, AR; as well as her brother, Don Mitchell (Debbie); her nieces, Becky Brett Thomas, Monica McIntire, Stephanie Lovelady; and a nephew, John Mitchell.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Christopher Shane Cordrey and Joshua Matthew Cordrey; and her beloved sister, Ganada Jo Brett.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Arkansas Heart Hospital or Alzheimer’s Research. Per her request, there will be no services at this time. A memorial service may be announced at a later date.
