Nolan Lynn Garrett, 71, of Southside Ar., passed away on October 24, 2022. He was born on November 21, 1950, to the late Vernon and Violet (Johnson) Garrett.
He was a dedicated Christian of the Baptist faith and a member of Maple Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Nolan was a man of many skills. Throughout his life, he was a truck driver, equipment operator, and the owner of Garrett Poultry Service, Garrett Boom Truck, and Garrett Dirt Work. Nolan loved his family and his friends, and most of all he loved sharing the gospel. Nolan touched many lives in so many ways. When one of his family members announced a project or a house to be built, Nolan was the first to volunteer his labor, time, knowledge, and skills and was usually the last to leave. He was loved and will be deeply missed. Fly high, my friend.
He is survived by his sister, Kathy Garrett of Talihina Ok.; 3 daughters, Amy Talbert (Larry) of Cabot Ar., Lesley Thatch (Ralph) of Southside Ar., Donna Rogers (Keith) of Southside Ar.; his son, Stephen Garrett of Southside Ar.; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Gail Garrett Webb and Karen Garrett Martin.
Services will be held at Willis Funeral Service in Batesville, AR. There will be a visitation on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 4 pm until 6 pm, with his memorial service to begin at 6 pm.
