A Stone County man has been arrested on a first-degree felony count after allegedly sending a series of threatening text messages.

According to the arrest affidavit for Toby Neil Cox, 20, Stone County sheriff’s deputies received a report of text messages allegedly sent from Cox, stating he was going to stab a juvenile and an adult relative of the juvenile.

In one message quoted in the affidavit, Cox said “IMA KILL YOU ALLO.” Another message said he (Cox) was going to stab the two until they died.

The complainant making the report noted to authorities that Cox knew the location of the juvenile and adult and believed Cox would follow through with the threats.

A first-degree felony count of terroristic threatening was filed against Cox on Nov. 16, along with a warrant for his arrest. Records at the Stone County Jail note Cox was booked into the jail on Nov. 20.

His bond has been set at $15,000.
