Robbie Jo Johnson Jeffery, 82, of Mountain View, Arkansas, gained her heavenly reward on November 26, 2022, in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was born March 16th, 1940, in the Blue Mountain Community (Timbo, Arkansas) to Garlin and Geneva Killian Johnson.
Robbie graduated from Mountain View High School in 1958. She was the Salutatorian of her class and an All-State basketball player. On May 30th, 1958 she married the love of her life, her coach, Von Dean Jeffery. They were married for fifty-one years. She was a devoted Christain and of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the Mountain View First Baptist Church. Robbie retired from the United States Forrest Service. Besides her career, she was an excellent seamstress. More than anything, Robbie cherished her family and friends. She loved food and enjoyed cooking with her friends and family. She loved her Mountain View Yellowjackets. Robbie probably holds the record for the most games attended throughout her lifetime. She was a woman of beauty and grace with a kind and sweet spirit. She will be missed by all her friends and loved ones.
Robbie is survived by her daughter, Janet Jeffery of Mountain View, Arkansas; one sister, Maxine Poff of Mountain View, Arkansas; one brother-in-law, Howard Jeffery (Carolyn) of Calico Rock, Arkansas. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Robbie was preceded in death by her parents, Garlin and Geneva Johnson; loving husband, Von Dean Jeffery; one sister, Nadine Lawrence.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Mountain View First Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. Brother Jason Ingram will officiate the service. The interment will take place at Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Von Dean Jeffery Memorial Scholarship.
Pallbearers are Dwight Johnson, Fred Ward, Eddie Cowell, Mark Seay, Warren Sanders, and Lance Whiteaker.
Honorary Pallbearers are Will Phillips and Lane Phillips.
