UPDATE, Jan. 4, 2023, 4:30 a.m.: The Searcy Police Department reports two adult males are dead after a shooting incident at the East Race Street McDonald’s.
“What started out as a dispute between the two males ended with both passing away,” the SPD said in an updated statement on Facebook.
No other details are being released at this time.
The second, unrelated shooting involved a suspect firing shots into two apartment buildings at separate addresses. There were no injuries and there is a person of interest in the case.

The Searcy Police Department is reporting tonight that two adult males have been hospitalized after shooting at each other at the East Race Street McDonald’s while another shooting has also been reported in the city.
The post, made in the 10 p.m. hour on Tuesday, said that the second shooting involved a suspect shooting at multiple residences, and that a search is on for the shooter in that incident. No injuries have been reported.
