Jackie Leslie Lee, age 79, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away on December 30, 2022, at White River Health in Batesville. He was born August 2, 1943, in Rosie, Arkansas to the late Emmett Leslie Lee and Charlene Edith House.
As a young man, Jackie served our great country in the United States Army. He was later the owner and mechanic of Lee’s Service Station for many years in Southside. He loved to help people and loved to work. When he wasn’t working, you could find him hunting or in a hayfield. More than anything else, he loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Weaver Lee; son, Jack Ryan Lee; his parents; an infant brother; and a sister, Johnna Beth Sample.
Jackie is survived by his wife of almost 34 years, Rita Chapman Lee; son, Jamie Bledsoe (Tena) of Batesville, Arkansas; three daughters, Leslie West (Adam) of Southside, Arkansas, Ambra Cooper (Norma) of Batesville, Arkansas, and Chandra Lewis (Tyler) of Cabot, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, Lacey Crawford (Andy), Hayden Barnes (Joe), Emma McBride (Jayton), Rilee McBride, Emily Lewis, Gabe Bledsoe, Layla Lewis, Autry West, Landon Lewis, and Kayden Cooper; and four great-grandchildren, Emmett Johnson, Joseph Barnes, Levingston Crawford, and Whitman Crawford.
Visitation is from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Southside United Methodist Church in Batesville, Arkansas immediately followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm officiated by Dr. Glen Pettus. The interment is at Egner Cemetery in Salado, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Andy Crawford, Tyler Lewis, Joe Barnes, Jayton Long, Adam West, and Jason Weaver. Honorary Pallbearers are John Wyatt, Tony Younger, Pat McGough, Joe Williams, Joe Robinson, Fount Foushee, and the Arkansas Hospice Team.
