Glenda Goings King, 74, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023. She was born on April 21, 1948, in Poughkeepsie, Arkansas to Glenn Goings and Delphia Morgan Goings.
She worked at Eastman Chemical Company and retired from Life Plus. She was a member of the Cave City Church of Christ, enjoyed watching the Hummingbirds and butterflies, yard work and gardening, but most of all loved her family and her church family.
She is survived by her husband, Steve L. King; one son, Rudy VanWinkle (Telisa) of Poughkeepsie; two step-sons, Steve H. King (Brenda) of Enola, John W. King (Cynthia) of Gilmer, Texas; a daughter, Mistina Simpson (Shannon) of Poughkeepsie; two brothers, Gary Goings of Batesville and Marty Goings (Lori) of Newark; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and several other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Billy and Benny Goings.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Macedonia Cemetery in Newark, with Marc Walling and Kenny Townsley officiating.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023, at the Cave City Church of Christ from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers are Corey Simpson, Joe Royal, Steve H. King, John L. King, Kevin Goings, Brian VanWinkle, John W. King and Joe Goings.
