Demarius Brown, 23, of Batesville passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023, in Cave City. He was born May 19, 1999, in Batesville to Daris and Shan Brown and LaTonia and Marcus Nelson. He was a mechanic for the U.S. Army and a graduate of the Batesville High School Class of 2017. He loved playing football and baseball. He enjoyed working out and desired to be a cattle farmer. Demarius loved the time spent with his daughter, Matea Brown.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Allen Perry Simpson.
Survivors include his parents; his wife, Kelsey (Sisk) Brown; his daughter, Matea Brown; his siblings, Randy Porter Jr., Daris Brown Jr., Darrieonna Brown, Kadren Frierson, Dakivious Brown, Dakivian Brown and Dayshaun Brown; paternal grandparents, Levette and Jerry Lamar, Sonny and Pat Russell; maternal grandparents, Geneva Byrd, Polly and Orville Jiles; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Ercenia Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Batesville with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the chapel.
Pallbearers will be his brothers.
Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Ward Jr., Terrance Robinson, Devarious Byrd, Barron Brown, Jerrell Lamar, Rodney Sisk and the Batesville High School Class of 2017.
