FNBC has announced a new community president for its Batesville office.
The Ash Flat-based community bank announced the hiring of Jeffrey Freiert (pictured) late last week. According to a release from FNBC, Freiert brings almost two decades of banking experience in the regional market. Freiert comes to FNBC after serving as city president at Citizens Bank in Batesville.
“Batesville has always been an important growth market for our organization,” FNBC President & CEO Marty Sellars said in the release. “Jeffrey’s experience, leadership strength, and key community connections will be a catalyst for us as we look to continue to expand our business banking footprint.”
In this role, the bank said Freiert will lead the strategic growth of FNBC’s portfolio in Independence County, including small business and commercial lending, treasury management services expansion, and deposit growth.
“One of the things that drew me to FNBC was its reputation as a community bank,” said Freiert. “I look forward to continuing my career with a community bank that values the relationships in the community it serves. When I started in banking over 18 years ago, making a difference for the people of my hometown was my focus. I’m excited to get back to the type of community banking that best serves my customers and my community.”
FNBC branched into Batesville in 2005 with a temporary location on Batesville Boulevard and opened the doors to its current, permanent location at 1388 Harrison St. in 2007. Today, it has $60 million in assets.
Freiert received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He is a graduate of the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas and the Barrett School of Banking in Memphis. He is a graduate of Leadership Arkansas Class XIV and serves on the White River Health Systems Foundation Board of Trustees.
A Batesville native, he and his wife, Jesse, have two daughters, Lily and Georgie.
