Glenda Rose King, 78 of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at home. She was born November 7, 1944, in Greenfield, Arkansas the daughter of William Houston and Rosetta Elizabeth (Roach) Barnhill.
Throughout her lifetime, Glenda held many job titles but her favorite was the one of Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She loved spending her time at home with family and friends. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star ~ Chapter 625.
Glenda married Bobby L. King on February 22, 1980, and they enjoyed 38 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2018. Her parents preceded her in death, one son, Jefferson Scott Crawford, two brothers, Isacc Houston Barnhill, and Harold Leon Barnhill, and one sister, Dicy Eudor (Barnhill) Masters.
She is survived by two sons: Bruce Crawford of the home in Harrisburg and Marty King of Jonesboro, Arkansas, two daughters: Kara Peifer of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Donna King of Bartlett, Tennessee, nine grandchildren: Lance Peifer of Olive Branch, Matthew Peifer of Memphis, Kasey Crawford of Jonesboro, Kendal Stewart of Bartlett, Patrick Steele of Parkin, Miranda (Josh) Steward of Proctor, Stephen King of Hernando, Corey King of Parkin and Brittney Herod (Ryan) of Trumann, and seven great-grandchildren.
Active pallbearers are Glen Peifer, Lance Peifer, Matt Peifer, Weston Wagner, Ken Miller, and Jerry Crawford. Honorary pallbearers are Bruce Crawford and Paul Miller. Visitation will be Thursday ~ February 9, 2023, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel Harrisburg from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. Funeral Services will be Friday, February 10, 2023, in the Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 A. M. Interment will be in Harrisburg Memorial Park Cemetery Harrisburg, Arkansas.
