Obituary: Mary Ann Brown Menard

Mary Ann Brown Menard was born at home in rural Arkansas on Christmas day in 1944. She lived most of her life in Arkansas, graduating from Batesville High in 1962. Mary had a long and successful career in the mortgage banking industry. She had a beautiful smile and an enduring love for her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Reba Swayze Brown and Wendell Brown, her husband of 57 years, Bill Menard, and brothers, Tim and Mark Brown.

She is survived by siblings, Ronny (Judy) Brown and Nina Brown Carter; children, Andrea Menard Cochran, Melissa Menard Smith (Trey), and Andy (Dawn) Menard; grandchildren, Brittany Smith Johnson (Drew), Samuel Smith, Courtney, Caylee and Caroline Cochran, Drew (Makenzie) and Trent Menard; and great-grandchildren, Kyler and Ryleigh Menard and Darcy Johnson.

Mary fought valiantly against cancer; she passed away at her home in Sherwood, Arkansas on February 7, 2023. She will be forever in our hearts.

Pallbearers are Andy, Drew and Trent Menard, Samuel Smith, Drew Johnson, John Hudson, Bryan Brown, and Noel Carter. Honorary Pallbearers are John David Morgan, David Parker, Roger Franks, and James Hooper.

The funeral service will be Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel, with Trey Smith officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow the funeral service at Oaklawn Cemetery.
