Cedar Ridge Early Childhood has worked closely with the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, along with several other school districts, during their community collaboration on Excel by 8, a LENA Project. LENA, a practice-based, data-driven professional development program for early childhood educators, was implemented to help give our educators the tools they need to improve language environmental skills. The Cedar Ridge Early Childhood staff received their Lena Excellence in Community Collaboration award and are very proud of the team who helped make it successful.
Teachers Stacey Couch, Baylea Ford, and Kellie Berkheiser (pictured above, from left to right) worked hard to set goals for themselves and their students. Early Childhood Administrative Assistant LaToshia Carroll (pictured below) and Director of Curriculum and Instruction Abbi Limbaugh managed the program’s logistics by maintaining the data pull operations.
