Carrie Amber Bowers was born on August 18, 1968, in Heber Springs. She is survived by her mommy, Helen Barnes; the man who raised her and who she called dad, Roger Barnes; two daughters, Kori (Blake) Foster and Jennie Morgan (Joseph Swaim); two sisters, Brittanie (Chad) Webb and Leah (Trevor) Langston; two nieces Amaya Smith (her Princess) and Harlee Barnes (her Birthday Girl); two nephews Jaiden Smith (her Bubba), and Colbie Webb (her Colbers); her very best friend and dad to her daughters, Ron (Ti) Morgan and their daughters, Keelie and Sammy Jo Sandridge; her Aunt Donnie Bowers; her cousin Joanna South; her birth father John Bowers; and many other family members and friends who were her entire world.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Albert and Marie Lawrence and Frank and Golda Bowers.
Carrie loved immersing herself in books, crafting, baking, going shopping with her mommy, watching cooking and home improvement shows, and spending time with her loved ones. She said that one of her favorite memories was spent with her daughters during their childhood, at the river with Ron and all their friends, listening to music, and eating sandwiches on the sandbar. She loved watching the latest action and science fiction movies and listened to K-Pop with her daughter Jennie. They spent hours watching concerts and music videos together.
Carrie had a selfless nature that was evident in her love for seeing others happy. She would always wait for everyone else to open their Christmas gifts before opening her own, finding joy in their joy. Her conversational style was filled with storytelling, and she would take her listeners on winding paths before concluding. But Carrie was not only an exceptional storyteller…she was also the world’s best listener and confidant. She had a way of making you feel important and loved in every interaction. Every person she met was her friend and she had a way of bringing people together and everything.
Carrie’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and selflessness. Though she may no longer be with us, her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of those who loved her. As her loved ones come to terms with her passing, they can take comfort in the knowledge that she is no longer in pain and that they will see her again one day.
No service is planned at this time.
