Madelyn “Kay” Henderson Birdsong, 71, of Batesville passed away Friday, March 10, 2023, at her home peacefully with family by her side. She was born May 31, 1951, at Searcy to the late Billy and Wilma King Henderson.
Kay Birdsong was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and achieved her Associate Degree in Dietetics. She continued to work her way to a Director of Nutritional Services, Environmental Services, Laundry, and Safety Officer of White River Health Systems for 21 years.
She loved her family and would help everyone that she could. She loved all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews. She had a big heart.
She loved working in her flowers, spending time with family and family dinners. She loved doing her Bible studies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, SG Penn, brother, Billy Max Henderson, JR., and nephew, John Henderson.
She is survived by a daughter, Gina Reves (Lynn) and two sons, Jeremy Birdsong and Jimmy Mason; seven grandchildren, Alicia Mason, Zachery Reves (Katie), Anthony Reves (Makenzie), Haylie Mason, Braden Birdsong, Allyson Birdsong, Gage Birdsong, and five great-grandchildren, one sister, Sandra Keener, and brother, Joe Penn all of Batesville.
Pallbearers are Zachery Reves, Anthony Reves, Alex Penn, Jeffery Russell, Lynn Reves, and Jeremy Birdsong.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Bro. Scotty Burrow officiating. Burial will follow at Roosevelt Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the service time.
