Three staff members of Survival Flight EMS were presented with the “Star of Life Award” at the Arkansas State Capitol last week.
Recipients were EMT Jason Mobley, communications specialist Melissa Strother, and paramedic James “BJ” Swayze.
The “Star of Life Award” celebrates an individual who made a difference in the lives of their patients in one or more events.
“This award is recognition that Jason, Melissa, and James go above and beyond for their patients,” Survival Flight CEO Chris Millard said. “The caliber of Survival Flight employees is top-tier, and we’re so proud of each one of them for this achievement.”
The recipients were also recognized upon the State Senate floor (see image below) by a proclamation deeming a day in their honor and for their service to the state.
