The search for a Poinsett County man who was reportedly swept off a low-water bridge near Rosie has been called off due to Friday’s poor weather conditions.
Independence County Sheriff Shawn Stephens says the weather is affecting the search efforts, but he told White River Now’s Gary Bridgman Friday morning that crews will resume the search as soon as the weather breaks.
Witnesses say the 62-year-old man from Weiner was swept into the White River while trying to cross a low-water bridge on a side-by-side Saturday afternoon.
