Obituary: Theresa Charlotte Ellis-Eslinger

Theresa Charlotte Ellis-Eslinger, affectionately known as Teresa of Atlanta, Georgia transitioned to her heavenly home on March 23, 2023.  She was born December 30, 1961, to Robert Ellis and Dorothy Ellis (Thomas).

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert Ray Eslinger; her brother, Robert Lynn Rowland and her best friend, Richard Owens.

Teresa loved helping others and decorating different events.  She Had a knack for creating beauty and inspiring others.  She loved spending time with her family and creating lifelong memories.  Her love and affection were one of a kind.

She is survived by her children; Jerry Ellis (Tequilia) of Rogers, Sondra Ellis of Conway, Chris Spearmon (Stacey) of Conway and Roderick Spearman of Newport; her stepchildren, Rodney Eslinger and Herbert Eslinger, Jr.; her siblings, Bobbie Jean Scott (Sam) of Conyers, Georgia, Judy Ellis of Batesville, Jerry Ellis of Jonesboro and Rick Ellis (Tonetta) of Powder Springs, Georgia; her step-sisters, Sherry Murphy (Bobby) of Ocala, Florida and Sharon Neal of St. Louis, Missouri; her step-brother, Jimmy Neal (Nichole) of Jonesboro; her aunt, Enola Neal of Chester, Ohio; her uncle, Robert Hardaway of Auvergne; her sisters-in-law, Lenise Price, Ruth Brown, Barbara Eslinger, and Dana Alcorn; her grandchildren, Traevaughn, Andwelle, Jerry Jr., Terrick, Ka’roun, Chloe, Jessyn, Ja’Khlen, Teondra, Kynadi, McKinley, Cameron, Zuri, Carmen and Chris Jr.; six great-grandchildren, special nieces, Lasha and Petra; special friend for decades of time, Betty Porter.  She also leaves to cherish her memory, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Harold Marshall, Michael Hardaway, Robert Hardaway, Payton Ellis, Bryan Brown and Sam Grady.

Honorary pallbearers are Andwelle Ellis, Traevaughn Roddy, Jerry Ellis, Jr., Terrick Smith, Ka’Roun Spearman, Ja’Khlen Speaman, Jessyn Spearman, Cameron Spearman and Christopher Spearman.

Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Dillinger Funeral Home with Pastor Dewayne Alcorn officiating.  Visitation will be Friday, March 31, 2023, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel—Interment at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Shoffner.
