Roger Dale Jones of Weiner, Arkansas departed this life on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the age of 62. He was born June 15, 1960, in Newport, the son of Elias Patrick Jones and Delores Ynell “Dee” Williams Jones.
He was a high school graduate of Weiner High School. He was baptized at an early age at Midway Church of Christ and was a member of Hickory Ridge Church of Christ. He worked as a Loader Operator at Helena Chemical.
Mr. Jones was an avid Pittsburg Steelers Fan. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, trail riding side by side, and sitting around a bonfire. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving dog, Mack; three brothers, Tommy Jones and wife Teresa, of Weiner, Farrell Jones and wife Timmy, of Weiner, and David Jones and wife Debbie, of Jonesboro; one sister, Terry Johnson and husband Tony, of Fisher; a host of nieces and nephews; and a lifetime of friends.
Visitation is Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. David Howard officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers are Mr. Jones’ Helena Chemical co-workers, Rob and Jennifer Bradley, Johnny Drope, Dave McAlister, and Wes Campbell.
