Jimmy Darrel Mariott, 79, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023, in his home. He was born on Wednesday, March 22, 1944, to the late John and Alta (Clark) Mariott. Jimmy worked in the agriculture maintenance business in Florida in his early years. After moving back to Arkansas, he worked at Blanchard Shirt Factory in Mountain View as a security guard. He owned and operated a cattle farm with his brothers, Harold and Leon in the area for many years. He was a member of the Twin Lakes Baptist Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He enjoyed reading his Bible and listening to Arnold Murray and other ministries on television. He was an avid reader and loved music and repairing equipment on his farm.
Jimmy is survived by his brother, Leon Mariott of Mountain View; a nephew and niece, Benny (Patty) Passmore of Mountain Home; and several great-nephews along with a host of family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harold Mariott; two sisters, and brothers-in-law, Thursa (Jack) Teague and Maxine (Ben) Passmore; and one niece Sharon Tiner.
Jimmy requested that there be no service and he will be laid to rest in the Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.
