Cedar Ridge Schools fourth-grade teacher Britney Davis has been selected to participate in “Cohort 8” of the IMPACT Arkansas Fellowship Program.

According to a release from the Cedar Ridge School District, Davis went through a rigorous application process and was selected to serve with 20 educators from Arkansas out of several applicants statewide.

Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in mid-level education from Arkansas State University in 2008. She has been in the district for three years and has 15 years in education. She is married to Cedar Ridge High School Principal Chris Davis, and they share five beautiful children, two grandbabies, one dog, and 11 chickens, according to the release.

Fellows who complete the 18-month Cohort 8 program will earn a master’s degree in educational leadership.

“I am delighted and honored to have been selected as a Fellow Cohort 8 of the IMPACT Arkansas Fellowship Program,” said Davis. “I am grateful for this opportunity to grow as a leader and look forward to giving back to the students and community I serve at Cedar Ridge.”

“We are so excited to support Britney throughout this process and toward her journey in becoming a future school leader,” the district said in the release.
