Dolores Frances Pfeifer Dearien of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, in Mountain View, Arkansas. Dolores was born on November 26, 1935, in Baltimore, Maryland to George J. Pfeifer and Dorothy Rickell Pfeifer. Dolores loved to crochet and crocheted many caps and afghans which were donated to both Arkansas Children’s Hospital and St. Augustine Center for Children. Her friends knew her love for crocheting and were always bringing her yarn. Dolores was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mountain View, Arkansas and will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
Survivors include her three children; one daughter, Carol Hicks (Russell) of Pineville, Arkansas; two sons, Jody Dearien (Cindy) of Mountain View, and Phillip Dearien of Fox, Arkansas; one sister, Marge Stakem of Reisterstown, Maryland; five grandchildren, Jordan Hicks (Amber) and Jesse Hicks (Madison), both of Pineville, Arkansas, Matt Dearien (Ashley) of Mountain View, and Johnnie and Shane Dearien, both of Fox, Arkansas; nine great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Lynnox, Nash, Asher, Caitlin, Aiden, Hannah, Blake, and Elise; two great-grandchildren on the way and many extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George J. Pfeifer and Dorothy Rickell Pfeifer; brother-in-law, Jack Stakem and daughter-in-law, Viola Dearien.
A funeral mass will take place on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mountain View, Arkansas with Father Paul Worm officiating. Dolores will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Columbarium in Mountain View, Arkansas.
