Marcus Crawford, 65, of Batesville, AR passed away Friday, April 28, 2023, in Cave City Nursing Home. He was born August 11, 1957, in Batesville, AR to John Wesley Crawford and Nellie Marie Lexon Crawford. He was a factory worker and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. He loved fishing and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Veatrice Smith Crawford of Batesville; one son, Frederick Richardson; one daughter, Roshauna Wells; four brothers, Don Crawford of Batesville, AR, Scottie Lynn Crawford of St. Louis, MO, Barney Crawford of Louisville Kentucky and Troy Crawford of Dallas, TX; six sisters, Alice Faye White, Katherine Sue Ratter and Laurine Brown all of Batesville and Nina Mae Barris, Connie Crawford and Katie Marie Nicker Perry all of Dallas TX; four grandchildren, Kedria Lawrence, Kalarie McDuggy, Kayla Merridane and Zion McDuggy Clark; one great-grandchild, Kash Reeves; and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with L.A. Bland officiating. Burial will follow in the Ruddell Hill Cemetery in Batesville, AR with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Visitation will be Friday, May 5, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Geino Corley, Richard Ridgel, Bennie Jones, William Wells, Christopher Pete Brown and Frederick Crawford.
