Citizens Bank, headquartered in Batesville, has announced the promotion of Landon Downing to vice president, commercial lending.
“Landon’s continued drive to build expertise in service to the customers of Citizens Bank is unmatched,” said Citizens Bank Regional President Micah Beard said in a release announcing Downing’s promotion. “He is deeply rooted in the success of his customers, associates, and the community he serves and has proven to lead in multiple areas of the bank.”
In this new role, Downing (pictured above) will bolster the support of customers across north central Arkansas, with attention to loan growth and community development.
“It is an honor to be entrusted with further responsibility as I grow in my lending career,” said Downing. “My professional development, and that of my peers, enables our team to better serve our people and our communities across north central Arkansas.”
Downing currently serves as board chair of the IMPACT Independence County Foundation, a board member of Wood-Lawn, a board member of Downtown Foundation, a planning and zoning commissioner for the City of Batesville, and is a member of NOMADS – an outdoor recreation and conservation group specializing in cave rescue and the sustainable development of Jamestown Crag.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lyon College, where he graduated with honors. Downing and his wife, Madelyn, live in Batesville, Ark. with their newborn son, Parker. The family attends Compass Church of Batesville.
