Brenda Trotter Wren, 77, died on Friday, May 26, 2023, in Batesville. She was born June 5, 1945, in Batesville, to Burl “Cotton” Trotter and Mildred May Trotter.
She owned Brenda’s Florist in Southside from 1989 until her retirement in 2006. Brenda was a licensed beautician and had sold real estate before becoming a florist. Brenda was a strong-willed, “take care of business” type of person with a heart of gold. She loved to travel, having visited all 50 states. Brenda loved her family fiercely and took great joy in her grandkids and great grand girls.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and an infant brother, John Scott Trotter.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold Wren; two daughters, Millicent Wren and her husband Jack Jones, Lorita Philips and her husband Chip; two grandchildren, Wiley Philips and his wife Savanna; and Maigen Philips; two great-grandchildren, Isabelle Swing and Charlette Philips; and several dear cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service at Maple Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jack Jones, Chip Philips, Wiley Philips, Patrick Tucker, Dennis Stark, and Bobby Galloway.
Honorary Pallbearers are Kenny Hutson and Robert Barber.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. til 7:00 p.m. at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.
