Key players in the case of Rebekah Gould will be featured in a two-hour episode of NBC News’ “Dateline NBC” program that is scheduled to be broadcast Friday night.
In October 2022, William Alma Miller, 45, received a 40-year prison sentence for Gould’s 2004 murder after he waived his right to a jury trial in Izard County Circuit Court.
Miller, of Cottage Grove, Ore., had confessed to attacking and killing Gould, a college student visiting the Guion residence of Casey McCullough in 2004. Miller is a cousin of McCullough.
According to a release from NBC News, the special, entitled “Secrets in the Ozarks,” will feature “network exclusive interviews with family members and key players in the case.”
A description of the episode accompanying the release reads, “When the body of 22-year-old college student Rebekah Gould is found a week after she vanished, theories about her murder run rampant through the Arkansas Ozarks. It would take over 16 years and a fresh look at the case to uncover the truth.”
Dateline NBC’s Dennis Murphy will host the episode and feature interviews with Arkansas State Police Special Agent Mike McNeill; Rebekah’s sisters, Tiffany Ballard Moore and Angela Neubauer; her father, Dr. Larry Gould; Izard County Sheriff Charles Melton; and others.
Dateline NBC’s “Secrets of the Ozarks” will air Friday, June 2, at 8 p.m. CST.
