Registration for the 2023 Bad Boy Kids Splash and Dash is now underway. The adult literacy fundraiser will be held Saturday, June 10, at the Batesville Community and Aquatics Center. The center is located at 1420 20th St. in Batesville, and the ‘Splash and Dash’ begins at 8 a.m.
The all-indoor event will have kids competing in the pool and the walking track at the center. According to the online registration page, each child will have an assigned volunteer following them through the race for safety and direction. Children may register for “run only” if they are uncomfortable swimming. Each participant will receive a t-shirt, medal, a $5 voucher for aquatics park entry, and a goody bag from event sponsors.
The Bad Boy Kids Splash and Dash is sponsored by Bad Boy Mowers and the Ozark Foothills Literacy Project (OFLP). OFLP is a 501(c)3 nonprofit serving Fulton, Sharp, Izard, Independence, and Stone counties in north central Arkansas that teaches adults to read, write, and do basic math and/or to speak English. OFLP services are free and confidential.
