A Stone County Sheriff’s deputy was one of two people injured in a traffic accident involving another vehicle on Sunday afternoon.
According to a release from Sheriff Brandon Long, the deputy was going to a residence where an ongoing domestic situation had turned physical when the accident happened. The deputy and the other vehicle’s driver were transported by ambulance to the hospital.
The release said the Arkansas State Police and Mountain View Police Department are still investigating the crash and the specific circumstances involving the accident. However, Sheriff Long said the deputy has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
