Rebecca Kay Halcom, 68, passed away on June 10, 2023. She was born in Batesville, AR, on June 14, 1954, to Carl and Betty Galloway.
Rebecca was a kind, outgoing, loving, and faithful person. She loved everybody and was always willing to help others in need. Rebecca was a devoted Christian and member of the Fellowship Baptist Church for over 25 years. She loved attending and being involved in church and outside of the church as well, by going on three mission trips to Nicaragua and Peru. She also enjoyed spending time outside in her garden taking care of her flowers or watching the Razorbacks. But most of all, she loved spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She took pride in her grandchildren and loved taking them to the movies or watching them play sports. She was a loving wife, mom, granny, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those that were lucky enough to know her and love her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl Eugene Galloway and Betty Del (Pierce) Galloway; sister, Phyllis Schilly; brother, Buddy Galloway; and daughter-in-law, Beth Cummings. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Halcom; sons, Brad Cummings (Kim), Brian Cummings, and Jimmy Halcom; daughter, Crystal Harrington; brother, Bobby Galloway (Dean); sisters, Betty Wilson (Larry) and Melinda Melton (James); grandchildren, Courtney Cummings, Hunter Cummings, Haleigh Belle Cummings, Bryce Cummings, Braxton Cummings, Hannah Halcom, Shelby Halcom, Libby Halcom, Noah Halcom, Gunner Halcom, Olivia Harrington, Hayden Harrington, and Austin Harrington; great-grandchild, Hadley Harris; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Willis Funeral Service on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral service, officiated by Richard Nuckolls, will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Kyler Cemetery.
