Cora Linda Burns, 83, of Pleasant Grove went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, June 15, 2023. Linda was born on June 5, 1940, to Mark and Elsie Younger Davis. After graduation, she attended Draughon Business College in Springfield, Missouri. Linda worked in Bookkeeping at Winningham Auto Parts in Batesville and later drove the NADC-Sr. Citizen van in Mountain View, prior to her retirement. She had a special gift in caring for the elderly and was so patient, kind and understanding. Linda was a faithful and dedicated member of the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and served as Secretary and Treasurer for 57 years. She was as honest as the day is long, always had a smile to share and never spoke a harsh word of anyone. Linda was a remarkable caregiver to several of her family members, including her parents, brother and uncle. She thoroughly enjoyed music and singing and could often be found at the local singing groups, where she had many friends. Although Linda did not have children of her own, she dearly loved and took pride in her many nieces and nephews, always offering encouraging words. To all who knew her, Linda was a unique, one-of-a-kind, top-notch, Proverbs 31 Christian example of a Godly woman and will be greatly missed.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Davis.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Burns of 42 years; one brother, Jerry Davis and wife Barbara of Marcella; three stepchildren, James, Robin and John Burns; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
