Batesville Police Chief Alan Cockrill told White River Now’s Gary Bridgman Tuesday afternoon that there are no new developments in the case of Saturday night’s string of suspicious fires in west Batesville.
Cockrill said the department is still working on providing details to the prosecuting attorney for possible charges.
In a statement provided to White River Now on Monday, the police department said three juvenile individuals were spotted in the area of at least two of the fires on Saturday night. Investigators later located the individuals and interviewed them and their guardians at the Batesville Police Department. The statement said at least two juveniles and one adult could be charged with intentionally setting the fires.
