Stephen Franklin Chesney, 86, of Cave City, Arkansas, passed away on June 29, 2023. He was born in Corinth, New York, on January 27, 1937, to Mahlon and Lelia Chesney.

Stephen was a proud veteran who served his country in the Army for two years and then in the Navy for six years. He was very hardworking and spent many years truck driving until he retired. After retirement, Stephen was not one to sit still. He spent his time volunteering to play Santa around town, being active in the Kiwanis Club, and collecting money to donate to the Angel Tree Foundation. He also enjoyed selling local honey for over fifteen years. Stephen was a kind and giving man and was always willing to help others. He was a loving father, brother, son, uncle, and friend whose memory will forever live on in the hearts of those that loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Brian Chesney, Richard Chesney, and Arthur Bean, and sisters: Ruth Eva Fassett and Patricia Ann Lyng. He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, as well as those he considered his children.

A visitation will be held at Willis Funeral Service on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
