A report of a man wearing a black ski mask allegedly stealing from a fireworks tent on White Drive in Batesville led to the arrest of a 19-year-old on two felony counts last week.
Matthew Gregory Henry Jr. faces one felony count of commercial burglary and one felony count of property theft after police encountered Henry in the fireworks stand’s parking lot when they arrived on the scene on July 6.
The arrest affidavit says Henry matched the description of the subject given to dispatch. The court information said fireworks were discovered inside a laundry basket and a backpack in the vehicle, and a black balaclava was found in the passenger seat.
The value of the stolen fireworks was valued at just over $1,300. Henry’s bond was set at $5,000.
