Obituary: David Nathaniel Sefers

Mr. David Nathaniel Sefers, 79, of Wynne, formally of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

He was born June 22, 1944, in Harrisburg, Arkansas, the son of Arvil and Lorelle (Powell) Sefers, and they preceded him in death. David was also preceded by one daughter, Carol Andrews, one Grandson, Ryan Andrews, one brother, Larry Sefers, and one brother-in-law, Jerry Allison.

David worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, was of the Baptist Faith, and was a member of Masonic Elm Lodge #766.

He is survived by two daughters: Cheryl Carter and husband, Darrel of Wynne, Arkansas, and Christy Shannon of Harrisburg, Arkansas; one brother, Danny Sefers and wife, Patsy of Harrisburg, Arkansas; one sister, Donna Allison also of Harrisburg, Arkansas, and six grandchildren: Logan George and wife Kari of Cabot, Leigh George of McCrory, Kyle Andrews of Wynne, Alex Andrews and wife, Courtney of Hot Springs; Carly Traynom and husband Spencer of Harrisburg; and Corey Shannon and wife, Melany of Harrisburg, 13 great-grandchildren: Peyton, Reece, Brantley, Lexi, Rylan, Ellie, Kaine, Clayton, Kali, Kenley, Hadley, Frannie, and Millie.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Jackson’s Funeral Home in Harrisburg, with family coming at 12 p.m. and friends coming at 1 p.m. until service time, which will begin at 2 p.m. in the Jackson’s Chapel.

Mr. Jerry Allison will conduct the service, and these men will serve as active pallbearers: Logan George, Kyle Andrews, John Smith, Darrell Carter, Dustin Shannon, and Brantley Carter.

Interment will be in Bolivar Cemetery in Harrisburg, Arkansas. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Harrisburg Funeral Home.
