The Cave City Watermelon Festival kicks off this afternoon at 5:30 with a Kiddie Parade parade through the City Park. At 6 p.m., fun in the park begins with a wet zone, bounce houses, and the video game Royale Party Bus. Live music also begins at 6 p.m. with local talent. At 7 p.m., there will be music from the First Baptist Church of Cave City, and at 8 p.m., the evening will wind down with live music from the Farris Family Quartet.
More fun continues all through the day on Friday. There will also be live music beginning at 6 p.m. from Isabella Love. At 7 p.m., the band, Drasco, will take the stage. And the night will conclude at 8:30 p.m. with a performance by The Kentucky Headhunters.
The Melon Dash 5K kicks off Saturday at 7 a.m. There will also be a pancake breakfast, a car show, and other events in the park. At 10 a.m., the Watermelon Parade will begin, and the free watermelon feast is scheduled for 4 p.m.
Live music concludes the night with a performance by Kourtlynn Sutton at 6 p.m. Country artist Cory Jackson performs at 6:45 p.m. at 8:30 p.m., famed country artist Neal McCoy will take the stage.
