Evelyn Ruth McAdams, 84, of Tuckerman departed this life on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. She was born on May 25, 1939, in Grubbs, Arkansas to Raymond and Willie Bell (Moore) Hagar.
Evelyn was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished time spent with her family and friends. She loved listening to country music and watching the Grand Ole Opry. She also enjoyed watching game shows, her favorite was Wheel of Fortune and The Price is Right. She was an entrepreneur who was always coming up with new ideas and new ventures. She enjoyed baking and cooking. Her cakes were the best, but tamales were her specialty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Melvin McAdams; her daughter, Connie Emery; her brothers, Carl Hagar, Leman Hagar, Tommy Hagar, and Bobby Hagar. Her special and best friend Betty Lewis.
She is survived by her son, Michael Williams; her daughter, Debra Barrett; her grandchildren, Megan Emery, Mike Scudder, Olivia Overfield and Lisa Overfield; her great-grandchildren, Johnathon Mason, Jaxon Mason, Alexis Overfield and Zack Long.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Megan Emery, Ben Barrett, John Mason, Mike Scudder, Charlie Holt, and Karla Hopkins.
Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:00 until service time. The interment will be at Ballew’s Chapel Cemetery.
