Three students in Ozaka College’s Surgical Technology program received their pins in an annual pinning ceremony recently in the Lecture Hall of the college’s Mountain View campus.
The three students who received their pins were Emily Boggs, Kimberly Bruce, and Devin Engles.
“These students have worked hard to overcome the challenges they’ve faced during this program,” said Ozarka College Allied Health Division Chair Katie Wilson. “They have persevered and have proven that they have what it takes to overcome the obstacles they may face when they enter the workforce.”
During the ceremony, Dr. Chris Lorch, Provost at Ozarka College, informed the students of the tough road ahead but reassured them that their training at Ozarka College had prepared them for it.
The ceremony included a welcome address from Ozarka College President Dr. Richard Dawe; a keynote address from Ozarka College Provost Dr. Chris Lorch; a reading from the Surgical Technology Class President, Emily Boggs; and the presentation of pins.
