Ronald Edward Spicer, 76, of Batesville, AR, died on Friday, August 4, 2023. He was born on August 27, 1946, in Batesville, to the late Henry Edward Spicer and Mary Louise (Blount) Spicer. He was of Christian faith and worshipped the Lord as a member at Quail Valley Church of Christ in Batesville. Ronald served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. After his military service ended, he worked at White Rodgers for several years. He then worked with Fluor Daniels Construction out at Eastman before switching over to being a full-time Eastman employee. Ronald continued to work there all the way through to retirement. Some of his hobbies included deer hunting, turkey hunting, and fishing for smallmouth bass.
Ronald is preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife, Wanda (Fitzgerald) Spicer; and his two brothers, Harlen Eugene Spicer and Walter Don Spicer. He is survived by his son, Scott Spicer (Tonya) of Batesville; his two sisters, Eddie Ann Harris (Milton) of Batesville and Betty Lou Cox of West Memphis; his granddaughter, Katelyn Spicer; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, AR. Quail Valley Church of Christ in Batesville will host the visitation and funeral service on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. The visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. The funeral service, officiated by Bro. Burl Young, will begin at 2 p.m. Interment will be conducted at Egner Cemetery in Salado (Southside), AR, immediately following the funeral service.
