A new partnership between Batesville High School Charter (BHSC) and the Intimidator Group, described as the Engineering Pathway, will be celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday.
According to the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC), the partnership will be open to 9th-12th grade students beginning in the 2023/2024 school year.
In a media release, the BACC said the Engineering Pathway is designed to expose students to engineering careers with hands-on learning opportunities.
“Intimidator Group and its parent organization, The Toro Company, have an exceptional reputation for crafting products for outdoors enthusiasts,” the release said.
The partnership will feature project-based learning experiences facilitated by The Toro Company and Intimidator Group engineers, including a mower accessory design and fabrication team competition.
Other program highlights include a trip to The Toro Company headquarters in Minnesota, apprenticeship and post-secondary internship opportunities, and letters of recommendation for acceptance into post-secondary engineering programs.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at The Hub Pioneer Family Resource Center, 490 E. College, Suite 104, in Batesville, on Friday, beginning at 1 p.m.
