Tony Thompson, a former administrator at White River Medical Center, has been named the new administrator of Izard Regional Hospital in Calico Rock, according to Arkansas Business.
The Little Rock-based publication says Thompson began work earlier this month at the 25-bed hospital, which was purchased out of bankruptcy in June of 2022.
Arkansas Business reports Izard Regional Hospital, which was formerly known as Izard County Medical Center, is currently part of Indiana-based Boa Vida Healthcare. According to its website, Boa Vida owns or manages seven hospitals and 29 clinics.
The article says Thompson, an administrator at White River Medical Center from 1998 to 2012, is replacing Kim Skidmore, who was named CEO of Izard County Medical Center in 2013.
