Work to begin on Johnson Hollow Road in Locust Grove Tuesday morning

Independence County Judge Kevin Jeffery reports Johnson Hollow Road in Locust Grove will close after school bus routes run Tuesday morning.

The entrance to Johnson Hollow Road off Highway 25/14 is being rebuilt to accommodate truck traffic for the new Independent Stave Company.

A detour has been built, crossing a creek to access Highway 230 (Locust Grove Road). Jeffery says the work of rebuilding 465 feet of the road is expected to take two weeks.
