The Jerry Hopper Band will headline this year’s “Sonny Night in August” benefit concert at Ozarka College’s John E. Miller Auditorium in Melbourne, Saturday, Aug. 26.
“Come out and enjoy this must-see performance with the local legend, Jerry Hopper,” said Shane Linn of Townsend Spice & Supply and Ozarka College Foundation board member. “We are thrilled to bring back Jerry for this concert to benefit scholarships and anniversary to the original Sonny Night event.”
This event marks the seventh anniversary of the original Sonny Night in August benefit concert and tribute to the life of beloved community member, Son Lamb. Proceeds will benefit the Ozarka College Foundation and will support the Dennis Horton Memorial Scholarship Fund. Well-known for his generosity, support for the arts, and advocacy for local musical talent, Horton was a lifelong musician and friend of Hopper’s.
The program will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $20 online by clicking here, or tickets can be purchased at Townsend Spice & Supply in Melbourne.
