Network of Community Options (NCO), Inc., will present its Fall Conference on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at the Batesville Community Center with a full slate of speakers, giveaways, lunch, and more.
“NCO, Inc. is excited to host this event for our members, families and employees. Our primary focus is to relay information about services, answer questions, as well as offer positive words of encouragement to NCO’s direct support professionals,” said NCO Executive Director Lisa Pinkston.
The conference will start at 9 a.m. with a panel discussion by Pinkston, Human Resources Director Amanda Bledsoe, and CES Waiver Director Debra Woods, followed by a PASSE panel. PASSE – or Provider-Led Arkansas Shared Savings Entity – is a program that serves Medicaid clients with complex behavioral health, developmental, or intellectual disabilities.
Lunch will be provided by NCO, and there will also be keynote speakers as follows:
- Larry Stang (pictured above, right), executive director of the Developmental Disabilities Provider Association (DDPA), which has 68 community organizations that collectively serve over 14,000 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Arkansas and employ more than 12,000 individuals.
- Harry Ehrenberg (center), co-founder of the Special Needs Estate Planning Taskforce, which is dedicated to helping families of children with disabilities ensure the life-long care of their loved ones.
- Chris Rollins (left), president of Rollins Performance Group, Inc. and a Certified Executive Master Trainer on human behavior and communication, author, and a founding partner of the global John Maxwell Team.
In addition, Loreena Hegenbart, who is the North Central Arkansas Parent Mentor with The Center for Exceptional Families, will give a presentation about TCFEF, which is the only parent training and information center in Arkansas and works with parents of children with disabilities to receive training and information to help improve educational results for their children.
The conference will close at 3 p.m.
The community center is located at 1420 20th St. in Batesville.
Registration is free, but seating is limited. To get an accurate headcount for lunch, NCO asks those wanting to attend to register at bit.ly/3PMPlcK, or visit the NCO Facebook page.
