A Cave City man is facing a felony charge of failing to comply with registering and reporting requirements as a sex offender.
According to court information filed Tuesday, Jeffery Dean King, 43, was arrested in August after a Sharp County sheriff’s deputy was called to a chicken house on Highway 58.
The court documents said authorities were contacted because a juvenile female working at the chicken house alongside King said he was staring at her inappropriately, making her uncomfortable.
After offering his Sex Offender Registration papers to the deputy, several discrepancies were noted. The court documents said King’s current vehicle differed from the vehicle listed on his papers. Other discrepancies involved King’s social media accounts and the length of his employment at the poultry house.
Jeffery was arrested for failing to comply with registration and reporting requirements — a Class C felony.
His bond was listed at $10,000.
