One person was killed, and two were injured in a three-vehicle accident south of Leslie Sunday morning.
According to the Arkansas State Police Fatality report, a 2008 Honda, driven by Carolyn Griffin, 84, of Leslie, was traveling southeast on Nubbin Hill Road, and, at the same time, a 2009 Jeep, driven by Celena Harbison of Star City, Ark., was southbound on U. S. 65.
The report said the crash occurred when the Honda pulled into the Jeep’s path. Authorities say the front of the Jeep collided with the driver’s side of the Honda, forcing the Honda into a private parking lot where it struck the trailer of a 2020 Chevy that was parked there.
Griffin was killed in the accident. Harbison and her passenger were injured in the crash and transported to UAMS.
The investigating officer said the weather was clear and the roadway dry at the time of the accident.
