Ricky Dale Weaver, 67, passed away on September 19, 2023. He was born in Lawrence, Kansas, on January 4, 1956, to Marcus and Jewell Weaver.

Rick, also known as “Pop Weaver” to his grandkids, was passionate about his hobby business, Air Magic Fireworks. To him, fireworks were an art that appealed to all senses. He took pride in the quality of his fireworks, and his displays have been compared to a “Disney-like quality.” His firework crews were from all walks of life and soon became his family. His goal for all his displays was to create a display that was both aesthetically pleasing to the eye as well as touch the soul with delight.

His farming was also a big part of his life. He owned cattle and a rag-tag group of horses that gave him much pleasure. His dog Penny and cat Gizmo completed the menagerie.

But for Rick, his family was number one. He loved his boys and grandkids and was fiercely protective of them all. He spent his pastime on genealogy in pursuit of knowledge about his family. Rick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend whose memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcus Weaver and Jewell (McVay) Weaver; son, Micah Weaver; and brother, Russell Weaver. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Nancy Weaver of Batesville, Arkansas; son, Mitchell Weaver of Batesville, Arkansas; brother, Rocky Weaver of Jonesboro, Arkansas; brother-in-spirit, Mickey Raper of Newark, Arkansas; grandchildren, Micah Weaver, Haven Jones, and Channing Jones; and great-grandchild, Clayton Jones.

A memorial service will be held at Willis Funeral Service on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
