Patricia Lynn (Green) Barnett of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the age of 76. She was born October 14, 1946, in Swifton, Arkansas, the daughter of Alfred and Nova Mae (Hennesee) Green Hardin.
Mrs. Barnett was very hardworking, retiring from the Huffy Bicycle Company in Farmington, Missouri, where she was plant manager. She later came out of retirement and worked at the Grimes Correctional Facility in Newport. Mrs. Barnett enjoyed fishing, sewing, playing music and singing. She could often be found working in the yard and flower beds until she could no longer do so. Mrs. Barnett loved her dogs, and her greatest joy and love in life came from her family.
She was of the Assembly of God faith, attending Drover Cowboy Church in her later years.
Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Barnett; her granddaughter, Leslie Lewis; one brother, Bobby Green; four sisters, Retha O’Barts, Nadine Thompson, Joyce Rowlett, and Cathy Green; and her parents.
She is survived by one son, Tony Lewis and wife, Stephanie of Amagon; one daughter, Susan (Presley) Diaz and husband, Steven of Dallas, Texas; one step-son, Nick Barnett of Swifton; two step-daughters, Amber Fears and husband, Chris of Swifton, and Misty Jones and husband, Josh of Little Rock; seven grandchildren, Kailie Fortune, Austin Lewis, Ashley Parnell, Jeannie Sandlin, George Glover, April Duward, and David Turner; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jesse Green of Arnold, Missouri, and Boyce Green of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Florence Callahan of Swifton; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a lifetime of friends.
Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Arnold Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home, on Wednesday, 12:30 p.m. until service time.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Tony Lewis, Nick Barnett, Nate Billings, Tyler Fortune, Austin Lewis, and David Turner. Honorary pallbearers are Jesse Green, Boyce Green, and Bobby “Red” Higgins.
